Control and Automation Systems Division seeks to produce mechanical engineers who can meet the needs of modern industries.
Students are required to take basic mechanical engineering courses in the second year and are expected to broaden their specialties in advanced topics through the third and fourth years. Since mechanical engineers are nowadays required to have sufficient knowledge of electronics and computers as well as a firm basis in mechanical engineering; electronics and lab, electronics circuit and lab, digital engineering, and applied computer science are included in the undergraduate program.
Department cooperates with 4 related department in the mechanical engineering area to offer a diversified graduate program leading to the degrees of Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering.
The department aims at education and investigation on advanced and intelligent mechanical systems. The department systematically covers the following areas.
Control
Mechatronics
Robotics
Factory Automation
